Following the instructions from these links, you can activate any game from Slitherine which it is added at Steam but you bought at Matrixgames or Slitherine site. Clearly Slitherine and Matrixgames share accounts and information from users.

-Steam and matrix game are equal, both share the folder at documents and settings/my documents/ for Gatheway to Caen.
-Both installations will share the options for the game.
-Even clicking in the CCE.exe from the Steam installation, you can not launch the game without be logged at Steam, when you make it, automatically it will launch Steam.
