Here's the website stats for 1 June - 15 June. A definite increase in visits and ad revenue, then a trailing off back to normal site usage.

This is the only site I can think of that I've turned off my adblock on. Mainly to try to support it, but also because it doesn't have any annoying ads, such as popups or ads making sounds.

I try to keep them in the background as much as possible. I hate ads to. These ads pay for a nice percentage of the monthly costs. The overall daily ad average since CCS was started is $1.42. Have made $4082 total which is about 35-40% of the total cost over the past 10 years. I have switched host providers a few times but I think the average monthly cost was about $69, which makes a total of $8280 over 10 years, not including the cost to register the domain.. that would add another $100 or so. Between ads and donations, and the original startup by the five guys I have not payed much out of my own pocket. Mostly everything has been paid by donations and ad revenue. Its a hobby!

Yea. I think this is simply because of steam.

My older cousin emailed me saying he saw Close Combat on steam. So it definitely has given the game exsposure.
But guess what....  Confused
Ill show you our conversation.

Have you downloaded the Matrix games version of close combat? And is it any good?

No, Never played any of the new Close Combats.
Umm... i have no dout it will be good.
Some will bitch and moan that they could do better, or that its to expensive.
Or that the fantastic game moders could have done a beter job.
My biggest problem is, IM sick of Normandy.Give us Anzio, Casino, Guadalcanal. Any thing but Normandy.
I recommend you get it. IMO it doesn't get better than Close Combat games.

I was thinking of buying it but the download cost is pretty expensive when you consider the cost of other games like HOI Darkest Hour

What a shame... -Ant

I have been surprised for awhile that Matrix keeps going back to France for it's titles. Italy has been screaming for a game, but they ignored it, same with the modders with so many areas.

Can see why for modders needing so many new maps, but not with Matrix. Perfect chance to get several commonwealth nations, plus the US involved, yet they totally ignored it with the old engine.

The point here is how you are speaking from a game which it can be edited at 100% and how usually games which they can be edited at 100%, they are bad games and people edit them improving the original game.

Now if you do not edit it............what do you want? I feel how many people have lost the modding vision.
