After seeing Bel creating what looks like to be a great mod, which is set during WW1, makes me think if we could see a 'one off' CC game which is set during WW1. If you look at the Men of War series, it is completely WW2, then, there's a game which uses the same engine as Men of War, but set during WW1 (Battle of Empires).

Pros of WW1 CC game:

- Has a mixture of gamers (WW1 & WW2) in CC series
- New vehicles, troops, tanks and support weapons/guns
- Variety of different countries never seen in Vanilla CC games
- France
- Austria-Hungary
- Ottoman Empire (possibly)
- Different campaign and Operation layout
- Large units

Cons:

- Battles may be the same (trenches)
- Tanks and vehicles VERY slow
- Battlegroups may be very simple

A Classic WW1 Mod is avialable to play with Close Combat III and Cross of Iron. The Great War Mod.

AH, didn't notice that. But, I would be interested if Matrix made a CC game which is set during WW1
