Nevertheless thought some of you might wanna have a pick, specially modders, if you ever thought on taking the next step.
Don´t know any programing language. I use Construct 2 as the game engine wish works as a visual tool 2D only. This is the work of a couple of months in hobby time. Its far from finished but playable already.
I can certainly see a Classic CC being made with this tool set, provided enough talent/ resources are met.
Hopefully this project is a stepping stone towards my core interest in tactical/ strategical genre.
#2: Re: Not a CC game Author: __Creeper__, Posted: Thu Jun 18, 2015 7:53 pm Textures do look CCIV don't they. That's one thing I've always hated about the newer Close Combat games is the change in texture ( and also the focus on armor combat with the infantry taking a back seat )
It's not that the textures are bad btw, it's just that the CCIV & CCV have a sort of trademark look that I like.

Some mods toke it even further. I remember there was a Finland war mod with astonishing map work by Southernland I think.
For this project I actually use one single pattern, a tarmac texture , that I change with styles in photoshop to make most of the Dirt and rock Debris.
