#1: Unable to read registry Author: kingmak, Posted: Sun Jul 03, 2016 12:56 am — So I downloaded the game online, unzipped it to C:\Downloads, installed it, then moved it to C:\ProgramFiles. The reason I didn't install it directly to Program Files is because it game me an error saying it wouldn't open the files. I'm running Windows 8. I know all about compatibility mode and running as Admin, but I keep getting the error message that it is unable read one or more registries. I tried regedit to add the install to string, but nothing else works. I don't know if I'm missing any registries, but I don't know how to find out which ones.
