I now own both games should anyone here be interested in playing.
My Steam name is K-Metal

Gettysburg has been fun and I only have 1 online match which I won (Defending Gettysburg)
Civil War I'm now downloading.

Very easy games to play compared to the newer WWII games but Tactics are the most fun inmho

I'll see if I can get some screen shots uploaded.

Look for Holiday sales if you find the price to be too much.
After the 4th of July Steam had a HUGE sale on almost everything..If not everything

I'm also looking at LUX ALLIANCE
A game that plays like the old board games that has multiple campaigns with a Huge range of era's to fight.

Being born and raised in Virginia these 2 games have some sentimental value to me.

When I lived in Spotsylvania VA I actually live right in the the Wilderness Campaign.
One could even see trenches behind there house it was that close to the battlefield.

The Park Authority was even buying houses and moving them to try and create a better buffer zone between the Park and the neighborhood.

Ultimate General:Civil War is a HUGE learning curve for me.

The Tactics are so different from the WW2 games I've played in the past.

But Hands down without a doubt a Total Blast to play.

I have a bunch of screen shots uploaded on my Steam account

What really touch's home is I'm born and raised in Virginia.and lived where the Wilderness Campaign happened.
I drove thew Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg Everyday

My last Address in VA was 12400 toll house Rd.
It was a neighborhood surrounded by the Wilderness Campaign so much so that one could see trenches in their back yard.

These games are what one would consider Click Fests     but the Tactic aspect is what appeals to me   and maybe you.

I have taken my family to most of the civil war battlefields and enjoy civil war history among my many hobbies, thanks for the info. I may give it a try in the future. Too many things going on now and I am just getting back into Close Combat.

I do like a civil war game. Sid Mier's Gettysburg was great!
