Hello

Im working on the Strategic layer,
Here down is a draft version of the general idea:

The arrows a bow is the planed assault route according to plan.
Im validating the road connections, according to 1944, well, im trying, its not easy.
Iv guess it will take some more weeks to get a alfa strat map, but then I have to make a drawing of it, and then select the appropriate maps to fit the strat map and regional terrain and such. Then the most hard thing iv guess get this into CC5…..
Iv also had thoughts of using CC4 maps, as the ww maps is a bit small.
Im also got some books, that clears up some things according to deploy, and some weapons things. But iv also ordered another book to hopefully get the answers to how many 57mm AT guns m/43 was available early 1944, that’s a big puzzle to me, and non in Mil-Historic associations iv talked to and posted in there forums can answer it..

Ye

Smile Happy summer!

Wow it looks great -- very well thought out. It will probably be difficult to get exact numbers on supply because it never happened. Ultimately, let game play determine numbers. I've been playing the Swedes and think that the most recent version you've sent out with the Gfk teams being much weaker than in the initial release has been an improvement in terms of playing against the AI but I can't say anything about H2H.

The strat map looks really great though -- looks like there could be some intense battles for Upsala and Stockholm. -- Good luck and thank you for all of your hard work! Very Happy Very Happy

Nice here from you, hedges and antifa, I sorry for not had time to play H2H, iv just got caught up in the stratlayer, and Iv been searching like crazy for the info about some confusing info.

The search have though given results, Iv came across some really valuable books to get things so right as possible. Well, im so happy, Smile Smile Smile iv searched for a book along time, “Svensk Militär Beredskap 1939-1945” “Swedish military during the war year”, made by he “Swedish Military Book Publishing” this book is grate for the mod.

The book came as a result of the evaluation the Military started doing in late 1945, they tried to get all the situation from many angels.

The collecting of testimonies and documents was basically done in 1952. Then it was huge pile of documents, 11 855 text pages and 7886 maps and drawings and photos and such. (at this time secret only for high officers and planers).

They then sorted the documents in chronologic order, so it would be easier to learn something from it (they describe how they used the info in the book).
The chapters was made in a basic form, “calm/low alert -- crisis/high alert -- calm/low alert” and what or why they made them higher and lower it.
Some areas are covered from many peoples/army/navy/AF/artillery/politics views as in some estimations and decisions not all agreed. It gives detailed info how many men were in the “readiness” at each date, and where they were placed. It also covers the build-up of the forces, and the problems they run into as the limited trade gave shortages of some vital natural recourses. At some time the Trade was totally closed as Germans used it as a way to pressure the Swedish government. (btw, Sweden got there own oil production to cover the military & fish-fleets needs, this was totaly new for me)
Anyway, the info was used to “learn from” by the high military commanders and planers.

The collected documents and such was in 1964 (18+ years after the war was over) open to military researchers, some documents were still “top secret” and not handed to the researchers at the University (at that time).
The University made a second collection of source material in the gaps they found, or some mismatching arias. They collected personal diaries and such from high officers and leaders. They also interviewed people “with tape recorders” who in 1939 to 1945 had a leading position in Sweden.

In 1982 (18 years after work started, and 37 years after war was over) they published the book. Iv found my in an antics shop, LOL.
Iv found the book much good to see how they was thinking, and how they reacted to different signs and intel gathering and pressure from Germany.
Its covers the high-formations much good, and rearming of them, but still iv still miss some info, as example the info about 57mm AT gun, m/43… And that gun is really important to the mod, I must get that info. And some other stuff, BUT, iv hope some other books iv just found in a second hand book shop can solve that puzzle, iv have em by mail in a few days, AM I EAGER to get my hands on them!!!

Thanx again men!

Grate summer to you
