#1: Close Combat crashes at startup Author: Matte, Posted: Sun Feb 18, 2018 10:49 pm — This happens on both CC3 and CC4. If I use 98 compatibility mode I can get the game to start but with that the multiplayer screen is greyed out. It used to work until a couple months ago, not sure what happened.

Not sure how I fixed it but I did cycle through all compatibility modes and always ran with admin rights. Ensure patch is installed. You may want to try seeing if a mod will work also.

#5: Re: Close Combat crashes at startup Author: Matte, Posted: Fri Feb 23, 2018 4:18 pm — Only 95 and 98 compatibility modes work (running on 64bit windows7) and those don't work for multiplayer. I could try mods buts I have old campaigns I'd like to continue.
Would be great if someone could test it on windows 7 to see if some update caused the problems.
