This article from ancient origins states that one of eleven sites is a well located in the grounds of the Hochberg Palace in Roztoka, Poland.
A WW2 SS officers diary is said to give the locations...
It is a likely story... and one I wouldn't think would be too hard to prove..... if true....
#2: Re: Nazi Gold... Here we go again, SS diary found Author: Berger, Posted: Sat May 30, 2020 6:06 pm The looted gold was actually used in supplies, food for troops, and in sustaining the German war effort.
After the war, some prosecuted germans spoke about lost gold legends in order to avoid responsability in war crimes trials.
Also the legend of "sunken" gold exonerated the civilian collaborators of the occupied countries who sold the food in exchange for looted gold (to Jews and antinazis) and is more comfortable than revealing the money-laundering role of some Central Banks during the war. For example, the files of the Greek National Bank are still vetoed to WW2 historians and the most part of german Central Bank files were burned in the '70s.
