103 years, a German submarine (UC47) was rammed and then repeatedly depth-charged by a royal navy vessel, Patrol Boat P57.

German intelligence at the time believed her documents were captured by the allies.....

My brother mentioned to me how disheartened he was about the complacency of kids these day on the world wars, That in 50 years time it will be virtually erased from memory of all but a few..... I hope not but I think he may be right, like so many of our era the war and its terrible cost were an every day fact of life. In 50 years it won't be so.... life rolls on.
