While researching for the Stalingrad mod on LSA I came across this document:

German 76 Infantry division with its attached units, claims 163 Soviet tanks destroyed in 12 days of fighting in Stalingrad area.
Pretty incredible numbers, but this is an official report from the Divisional command post by the chief of staff of the division.

Reports like that are very interesting. In Canada our government has made all unit War Diaries available for reading. These diaries will show what the unit did on any particular day. In fact they are still done to this day even in peace time. Gaining access to them is pretty tricky though, having to go through the government to permission, navigating broken gov webpages etc etc... I believe most any type of report from WW1/2/Korea may be available if its been declassified. Not everything is digitized though so for some access you need to actually visit the archives in person.

76 id had valuable attachments, as die 245. Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung  which STUGIII likely got nearly all of these scores. BTW, 'Mark II' from report - its British Valentine tanks, supplied to USSR via lend-lease.

Another interesting unit here is the the Panzerjäger abteilung 521 - They report 38 enemy tanks destroyed in the period.
They had some very unique and heavily gunned vehicles in their 4.company : namely the 12.8cm Selbstfahrlafette IV and 1 x 10.5cm K18 auf Panzer Selbstfahrlafette IVa
This is their unit structure (Might have been losses to these numbers by the time they were at Stalingrad though).

1. Coy : 9 x Marder II
2. Coy : 9 x Marder II
3. Coy : 9 x Pzjäger-I
4. Coy : 2 x 12.8cm Selbstfahrlafette IV + 1 x 10.5cm K18 auf Panzer Selbstfahrlafette IVa
