Hi all,

Based on this thread it seems that depending on where you buy a CC game from you may or may not have mods compatibility issues, patches not installing e.t.c.

So i would like your opinions for which is the best place for someone to buy CC.

At the moment there is a great sales offer at Matrix store.

Will i be ok buing from there?

Thank you for your time reading this.

Regards.

You will definitely not have any issues with mods when buying directly from Matrix. Buying from the Matrix store you will also get a Steam KEY to activate the game on Steam as well.

I should have read to the end of your post before responding as you already had linked to the Matrlix Holiday Sale.

For recommendations;

- The Longest Day has the most mods of the Matrix releases
- Last Stand Arnhem allows battle group stacking with both BG's getting to field units in battle. A great feature but supposedly some found it complicated so it was removed in the following releases
- Cross Of Iron covers years so does not have a strat map but it is neat to follow and upgrade a team/vehicle over years on the Eastern Front

If you buy from Matrix you can also convert your purchase over to Steam. So you'll have a copy on both platforms. This does not work from Steam to Matrix though.

With Matrix after you sign in you will be given option to redeem Steam code.

Btw, isn't the Close Combat 5: Invasion Normandy the one with the most mods?

You didn't get to the end of the sentence nikits72. CC5 was not a matrix release, it was from Atomic games.

For the Matrix releases TLD does have the most mods.

Out of the CC releases it would either be CC3 or CC5 for the most mods.

Excellent site to replace many old and worn out disks and as you posted.. DRM free. They also keep a folder for members where all games purchased by members can be re downloaded at any time in the future. Have purchased many titles there, tho CM, WAR and up are not as cheap as one might think. 30$ and up US last time checked. Older ones were only 5-6$ US range.
