Uff right - if you once tried to install Stalingrad and fails then is problem ---- the best way is to make sure that You have got enough space and uninstall your cc5 and once again make full install of cc5 (dont selete manually any files from cc5) then install stalingrad ...

Remember make sure that You have enough space in disk where you have in stalled cc5 and where you have installed CC5manager --- min 1gb will be good.

Answer after try !

Do you have a FULL install of CC5 on your hard drive?

A full install of CC5 is required prior to installing this mod.

u do for sur a install of stalingrad while other mod was installed...

Delete your CCV folder ( just keep the map folder out and delete everythings else). Reinstall CCV in full and swith in the map folder....
Go in your Cfg manager, and go in plugins folder, check about the Stalingrad.pln and delete it
go in cfg manager/system/packages folder and delete the stalingrad folder if anyone is there.

launch your Cfg manager and check if you see the stalingrad mod in the bottom box, if yes select it and right click on it to delete it...
Now follow each step of the guide

And maybe reason is this:

When install cc5 and cc5 patch 5.01 start REGEDIT (regedit.exe should be in Windows folder or windows/system) and choose HKEYLOCALMACHINE-->Software--->Mattel Interactive--->Close Combat---> 5.00 and make that entry "installed to" is correct, if not, modify this

Tell how it works

Ok, I have a full install of cc5. I was installing the mod straight onto a fresh install of cc5.

Tried regedit, but the installed to folder was correct?

ZAPPI4, I followed your instructions but it still does the same?

Jon.

the "installed to" --- is the one of many position in: HKEYLOCALMACHINE-->Software--->Mattel Interactive--->Close Combat---> 5.00 --- this entry will be only correct when path where you have installed your cc5 is the same as the path in "installed to" --------- if diffrent, change it in "installed to" to be the same as the path where you have cc5 installed

So its weird

i have "copy data/battles/acqueville as it doesn't exist?" when:

Stalingrad just starting installed but with cause of not enough space its stoped, and then again try to install ---- nothing work, i got to install cc5 once again.

Try before install delete your CfgV13/System folder where are unpacked files from stalingrad are stored and backup of original cc5 files are stored

Should there be anything in the cc5/data/battles folder, as mine is empty after the install. Could that be the problem?

found the problem, when i reinstall cc5, the battles folder is full. cfgv13 is getting as far as removing the original files, and is then crashing before it has finished copying. which explains why the folders were empty.

Can anyone suggest why cfgv13 is not working properly?

Because cfgv13 making a copy of files that will be repleced in cc5 by any mod. And when installing of mod didn't ending with success ------- cfgv13 try in another install of mod to copy this files from cc5 which already copied to his folder called system --- but this files just don't exist in cc5 ---------- thi is point of this problem. The best way to solve the problem is install cc5 once again before try to instal mod that didn't install before with succes
