Pzt_Lambi & MOOXE -vs- Pzt_Mac, Pzt_Wruff & Aikmen

This was an intense game. We used Wruff's custom meeting engagement where one of the objectives was to secure the gigantic weapons factor in the mid south.

I started the game out dropping light mortars on the suspected start point of 1 of our opponents. I heard men dieing but the map was so big I didnt have time to scroll to see who it was. I loaded my men up in 2 5tons and another carriers, once loaded they all headed down to the factory. Who ever didnt get a ride humped it down on foot!

My M1A1 and LAV-25 went ahead of the whole group. My M1 hid behind the factory untill more infantry came up. My men were slowly getting into position, it was a horribley long run and long drive. I could see enemy forces already running up the hill to the factory and I moved my m1a1 and lav25 to intercept. I launched a mortar barrage on them also. My men inside the factory waited in the backrooms for survivors to enter. All enemy KIA.

The map was so huge and so much was going on with 5 players it was hard to see what Lambi was doing. Never the less we were calling out targets to each other, making sure we were both able to hand our fights alone (at the beginning) and I told him I was ready to give him a support strike any time he needed it. I used my light mortars team effectively many times helping Lambi suppress his opponent.

My attack in the south was taking serious casualties later on. My lav25, 5ton were both KIA. My infantry carrier had one survivor manning a coax mg... earlier a 5ton got immobilized at the start point and my m1a1 lay immobilized in front of the weapons factory. It couldnt of been a better place, he had clear green LOS all all sortsa targets in the south. The tank almost ran out of ammo!

I lost too many men to effectively fight anymore easternly beyond the weapons factory. I held fast. I did manuever my men to the 3 story factory buildings to give fire support to a new offensive in the north against Lambi. We had thought we won the game and asked them to surrender when a new wave of infantry appeared in the center. Like I said my men fromthe 3 story gave as much fire support as possible. My mortars got resupped and gave more support. Lambis 5ton truck did several drive by shootings, combined with my support and his spare infantry the revolution wassupressed quickly!

Anyways... it was a very intense fight. What made it so much fun was teamspeak. Without your playing alone, feels just like single player in fact. So if you dont have TS installed get it if you plan to play CCM!

The maps are sooooo big its very easy to lose track of men. A few times I told lambi he had stray teams laying around... For some reason he had about 6 teams in the south to support me... Lambi what the hell? You dont trust me? I noticed alot of enemy teams gone stray also, I picked em all off. If your not watching this kind of stuff can cripple you.

Heres the final results!

Marines inflicted 192 casualties and took 5 pows. 11 vehicles KIA.
OPFOR inflicted 88 casualties and took 4 pows. 5 vehicles KIA and 3 damaged.

Look at my M1A1's kills. They saved the South flank!

Yes indeed. A great fight it was. Toooo much fun.
Very early on I lost the armor battle in the North, which was my responsiblility. Lambi hitting my T60 and killing it with a friggin HmvTow, 1st shot! OW.
Then him M1 moved through and cleared the way for their breakthrough up there, though with a little help from AIkman we brough in our reserves and came damn close to regaining the edge up there and breaking through to take the Farm VL, but it just didn't happen.
Here's a shot, very early on in the fight when things were falling apart for OPFOR in the north.
HAMBURGER HILL

As mooxe said before, OPFOR forces had a hell of a time in the south once mooxe got his M1 into position. Best we could do was immobilize it and it sat there laying waste to our armor and teams hoping to secure the Weapons Factory while they were able to move in their reserves.
I could go on and on. So many elements to this battle. The tide going back and forth. Excellent time all around with this one.
Teamspeak is a MUST for CCM. Coordination is so vital every minute of the fight, you've got to be on TS. Two teams on two seperate channels.
Really looking forward to the next one.

what service are you using to play multiplayer? Apparently I can't use Game Ranger and hamachi has been a little funky lately. Direct connect via ip doesnt seem well either. This sounds awesome!

Wow you really dug up an old thread. This was intense. I had a 3vs3 as well, just as intense. Would be nice to get some more multiplayer going but its too hard, well impossible really to organize a game.

If you cant use GameRanger, fix it. Thats where we play plain and simple.

I was able to play Lan game. Incredibly choppy, couldn't play for more than 2 minutes before we gave up. I have no idea what happened, but I really want to get this to work. I've had every other CC work on this computer.

How did you add the game to GAME RANGER? I am confused. Doesn't game ranger automatically find games that you've installed? It didn't for me. Perhaps game quality will improve over Game Ranger. I love this game so much.

PS: Are there any updates, mods, for this game?

bump..  this is ccmat right?

Can't find it for Game Ranger... what version are you using MOOXE, I have a few more friends playing CC with me nowadays and would love to play a 2v2 game... CCMT is okay, but I really love the CCMAT features!!!

Sorry everyone, but I need to keep bumping this. If I can set up a 2v2 game or include civilians and triggers in my battles, I will be veryyyy happy.

Need to figure out how to run this on Game Ranger...

thinking of maybe just changing my "Launch Game" path to CCMAT, and seeing if I can get it to run that way. I know it sounds like a long shot, but I am dying to get CCMAT to run multiplayer (over Game Ranger, or at least without the horrible lag/choppiness that comes when moving vehicles.)
