Hey all. I'm a brand new CC5 player, having found a very reasonably priced copy on Amazon. I've been really into Steel Panthers: World at War and Korsun Pocket lately and I've heard nothing but good things about CC, so I thought I'd give it a try.

What's the best way to find opponents? The AI doesn't seem very challenging but I can't seem to dig up a match on gamespy...

just do a search for close combat invasion normandy

please note there is a 501a patch(in downloads here) and MANY MODS, MANY MAPS you can download and install for FREE. changes americans to british (GJS) or americans to Russians (stalingrad) or fight in afrika v commonwealth forces on all new maps.

Hey man welcome! About mods: you can download a LOT of mods (I mean TONS when I say LOT) at www.closecombat.org. I would reccomend GJS 4.4 RSR 1.0 and Stalingrad 1.1 they are the best. About matches (don't play with them! Very Happy ) you can arrange one anywhere just make a attractive subject and there you go!
