MOOXE vs Pzt_Mac

Tsarista Woods

The 21/24 left Tsarista Woods and entered Chuikov's HQ to the east. The
71/29 moved North from the Leather Works into Tsarista Woods with
artillery support. The 683/195 Russian unit moved from Stalingrad West to
Tsarista Woods creating a meeting engagement. How I wished when I seen
this that I gave our only Air Strike to this map.

I took 3 Pz3, 2 232s and 1 mortar halftrack. Game opened up not as a
shooting fest that I imagined. I sent a rifle section and 232 West to clean up
VLs. My Pz3s started moving forward with some infantry running and some
sneaking. I caught a 37mm ATG on the North Ridge early and took 2 shots,
Pz3 damaged. Since our start point was at 23m high, and Macs at about 18 I
had a clear advantage. ALl my teams were numbered so in quit susession I
pressed the number, pressed V and targeting this ATG. It blew in 2
seconds. 1st obstacle down.


I continued forward seeing enemy rifle sections popping up here and there,
I was getting kills every now and then. When I finally got into the trenches
on the ridges it started to get nasty for me. he dropped his Arty on 2
running sections of infantry and a Pz3. Pz3 immobiled, both sections took
heavy casualties. I was on the ridge with this tank anyways with good LOS.


My other 2 Pz3s and 232 kept pushing. A hidden ATR disabled my last 2
tanks and one of the 232s. Fortunately once again, all were on top of the
ridge with good LOS.


My infantry now pressed on in front of my armour. My 232 from the rest was
called over. I dropped my arty on the exit VL and scored kills right away. His
units stayed hidden for quite some time. I took heavy infantry casualties.


I kept pushing and pushing, the remaining 232 saved the day. it chopped up
everyone. 2 of our damaged tanks were lost due to damage.



(we did a battle rebuild later for other reasons and only recreated the ATG and 2 Pz3 losses.)

Indeed, this was a hell of fight. MOOXE had a proper assault coming at me and all I could do was keep my head down and pop up at the last second when the enemy was within grenade and small arms range. I got some good infantry kills and taking away those two PzIIIJ's made me feel better after getting booted off of the map :hurt7

The artillery strike I had also saved may ass.

You may have won the Battle Mooxe but you'll lose the War so it makes no differnence. Great game :hurt10 :hurt2 played both of you

Some edits from the Pzt AAR's to bring us up to speed here.

Stadium: Wruff vs Sick
Securing vital VL's and the train tracks overlooking the area.



South Train Station: Wruff vs Sick
German attack. Kill as many germans as possible making them regret ever comming here.

Fighting Dima at Kuprosnoye to finish day one.

Wruff vs Dima
Kuporosnoye.


Action in the north. Fighting over the Grain Elevator VL. German PzIII and Armored truck go up in smoke in opening minute. An Armored truck breaks through to the VL and gets assaulted. The crew bails out and is killed on the spot.

Fought mooxe at Kuprosnoye.

Wruff vs Mooxe:
Dead germans. Dead panzers, and I took one home as a trophy. Will look nice in my garden.

Stadium

AT_Red_Scorpion vs Pzt_Verboten

i dug in deeply. flaks and hvy mgs.
couldnt resist taking on T34 with Marder. first should Marder immobilises the T34, but 2 shots more and no damage, then T34 kills the TD...



artillery crushing my Flak36 as a result of Flak killing T70.




South Train Station (A2)

AT_Red_Scorpion vs Pzt_Mac

only south side had any room for tank manouvering... and probably i could swing up and threaten their VL...

game begins with 5 tanks dealing out support. killing 45mm and flamers assault southwards.



a Maksim is harrasing my Aufklärer, and tanks unable to kill the last surviver, but finally pios snuff out the rat!



Terminal Stalingrad 2 under assault from communists! Wehrmacht defends and is about to launch counter attack!



all the while the tanks manouvering up north to take Pzt supply roads (To Grain Elevator) is met by ATR that nearly kills all crew in PZIVF, however, 2 more tanks make their way seeing communist hordes darting to take VL, they are killed. game crashes while mac brings more reinforcements east!!!

ok, fought my first 2 of this op, hopfully more then 3 of last time!



first game very tactical, meaning pretty boring to the last few minutes, t60's all over the place, but my 5cm atgs with light taks knocked out 4 of the buggers, 1 seemed immobilised in stones. let rus have a few blds south, to stop them with 7.92mm lead.





second game was even slower! sneaking sneaking, done some of my own out of boredom, as usual pzt done a last min rush on tower and bridge, killed most the buggers, morter barraged got my 2.8cm atg'et
lost bridge vl.

yes i had 20mm fire all over the dam place, second gun survived :
1) air strike
2)2* T60's attacking at once(20mm's can chop ya up) and infantry fire.
(it did have help from captured T70 and panzer1 47mm.)

almost the same as last game lost 28mm, lost ground, gained ground.

Grain Elevator vs Pzt_Mac

The first game crashed around 5min after I KO his two T34. We decided to replay from beginning. Game started slowly but I did managed to did a all out assualt after I knocked out two T34, and two T70 plus a ATG. The mad dash costed my inf teams but did manage to get inside the grain elavator.

WE WILL NEVER BE HUNGRY AGAIN!
