The exit VL is usually the area where the map you are now on leads to another map section, or back to the one you came from. Very important for
movement abilities, supply and how much of the map you will control for the
next battle- not to mention the points for winning the battle you are now in. Hope this helps.

Entry VL - Point at which your battlegroups enters a map and recieves its supply.
Exit VL - Any VL which leads to another map, generally enemy controlled which is also thier supply route.
The importance is more strategic than tactical. These VLs give you supply and manueverability.
