Howdy [mn],

We noticed the last time you visited [sn] was [lv]. Since then the community has been quite busy making new mods and a number of clan wars have taken place also. Here’s a short description of the new files we have hosted since your last visit...

For Close Combat 2, we are now hosting the ISO version. Just download and burn it to CDRom. CC2 is played on Power Lobbies. You can get more info about the CC2 community by visiting Tournament House. Also Nembo has created a new map named GliderGroesbeekLZ which you can download off the site.

The Close Combat 3 maps collection has new more to add to it. YukonGold has created Quad1 and Quad2. Both are mountainous terrain maps.

Close Combat 4 has seen the most modding over the past few months. Ernie_M has created 5 new maps. Also all of his new maps were coded into plugin form. They are 2 separate plugins, his enlarged maps and his brand new maps. TT's repainted maps have also been made into a plugin. Pvt_Grunt also released a mappack plugin for VetBoB. It includes some converted CCM maps, new graphics and many other things.

Stalingrad 1.2 has been released for CC5. It contains a number of new updates that we needed. Utah 1.3 has also been released. There is an El Alamein add-on that lets you use vehicle and gun crews as infantry. Nomada_Firefox has updated his ABTF mod to 1.5. Capt_JB_Mac has updated Overlord to 2.7. There is a Band Of Brothers mod out now to by Bel8910.

Mafi has updated his mod tools, CC2Spriter, RTB Tool and CC2Tools. He has also created a tool called 5CC. Its an all-in-one map editor (except graphics).

The [sn] site has also created many more plugin installation guides to get new players into the mods quicker. We have also created thumbnails, with full size images of all CC4 maps. This adds to out image library we did for CC3 and CC5. The Combat Camera has been re-organized for ease of use also, theres over 2000 screenshots of every CC game in there.

That’s all the news for now. All the files listed above are in our downloads section. We hope you can come back and take part in the community again soon!

Best Regards,
CCS Staff
