Just wondering if anyone figured out if CCM was modable too a GJS ww2 game? or something similer.... just remembered playing it with 3v3, infantry can board apc's, digging in (if u have an hour) seems like a good engine...

Sorry but it is very incorrect, by the moment we can open all sound, image and map files because it is as a CC5 on it, but we can not open or I should say repack some of the data files. Qclone does not run very well with it with or without the new ini or pack files, I have tested it many times and we can not do a complete modification of the game.

Nomada_Firefox you should shut your mouth up and talk about things you actually know about. I myself have decompiled, edited and recompiled all the .adb data files with no problem at all. If you find that you can't read one thread over at CSO and understand it to bad, but don't go telling other people it is impossible.

What annoys me is the fact that he says it is unmoddable simply because he can't mod it. Twice over at CSO he asked if the CCM/RTB data files were editable and twice I told him to check a certian thread, even gave him a link to the thread. Well apperently he hasn't read the thread or simply doesn't care to read it.

Maybe he is having a hard time understanding it.

Unfortunatly I have beaten people to death before just trying to understand how to edit something.
Or just using the tool to edit it with.

I wouldnt do just a GJS version but rather take every beach map from CCV to B.O.to GJS
double them up and have massive size maps to invade with.
3 on 3 invading France would be sweet on double sized maps.
If their wasnt enough beach maps then you could double up a few inland maps and do sort of a CCIII type GC.

Maybe,something like that.

if i could reveal some fo the things cc6 CAN do, its amazing.

cso has quite a few ideas on it.

what i dont get is:
ccm3.1 and RtB have been out for years, ccv came out in i think late 99,within months we had new maps, unofficial patch,then simple mods(graphics mostly) but ccm3.1 and RtB ive seen nothing worth while out there, why?
u can add a grand campaign im told.
u can add ww2 units.
i guess time and effort is the problem?

As Senior Drill told on one last post Qclone does not work well with it.

I can edit some adb files without problems but not all. On the future can be thanks to people as Senior Drill but by the moment we only can read the complete adb files but with Qclone we will obtain a full CCM error when we will try change or add a complete new units.

Nembo if you tell that we can edit all the complete game, why do you not release one mod to it?

I can't make a mod in two weeks! Laughing I'll give one thing up I haven't added any new units yet in the forcepool, put then both Zon and Philip have so its also possible.

You can add a GC? Who told you? Any Ideas how?

But you can try add 5 infantry and 5 vehicles new units with new weapons, no?
I only say that we can not pack well all the files. I have tested it many times.
There are some on .exe file that always look for the old units. We can correct the CCM game because it has many bad icons and units but when you try add new units, weapons, vehicles, fpool.......game crash.

Zon tried mod it and I remember that he abandoned the project because game always crash.

I think that we need a new tool to do it, Qclone C files unpack repack does not run very well. It remember me that how could Simtek team to do the RAF game? they must have better tools.

And to end lately I have been thinking how go to edit the future CC6 or CCRP if Destineer probably do not go to release the tools. I wait that he release them when he end these secret the games.

Only a choosen few were able to get RTB and CCM.
Hence the reason nobody mods it.That and the issues with QClone.(from what I remember reading)


The only CCM games I know of are the first one that came out and the new CCMRAF (the later cannot be found)
It would be nice to have that cleared up.
