howdy all!
i was wondering if anyone has seen a link to download the Verrier Ridge map anywhere. It is used in the third operation of Starfury's grand campaign, Road to Moscow. It is a great map too! It proves very difficult to attack if if the defender has some experience, while the map still leaves opportunity for success by an imaginitive aggressor....lemme know please.

I've been trying to find that one too, to no avail. It was also used in Diegrinders grand campaign for the Great War mod. There is a small gif or jpeg of the map at GDS Starfury's site under the Road to Moscow Real Red Mod. I wasn't sure how to add the URL on this posting. Unfortunately the link to the map is outdated. There were some old discussions about Verr. at CSO but it hasn't turned up. Hopefully someone still has a copy as it does look liike a fun map. Sad

No need to look any further...

Always been ther guys! CSO has over 700 CC3 maps.. I have close to 800 on my works collection at home.

If you need it for CC3.. I can get it, if the CSO doesnt have it.. I will send it there.

Sbufkle.... the CSO site has no maps listed under V. You have to manually browse the folders to find the V maps.

http://www.closecombat.org/Maps/Maps_V/

Most people dont know you can browse the maps like that. They use the search function on the php webpage and it returns nothing for V maps.

I hate to play devil's advocate but...the CSO site does have a V section under custom maps (MOOXE) but there is no listing for Verrier Ridge (CSO_Sbufkle). I didn't know you could check the folders like that mooxe. It warms my heart that there are good relations between CCS and CSO. Thanks again too all! Very Happy Back to my term papers.... Mad

Dont worry about it..

As it happens... over the years the CSO site has been up.. the miltiple revamps of the site means there are hundreds of files all over the place. Some, as the law of averages dictates, become misfiled.

As I made the Works compilation.. I literally found over a dozen maps that many had gorgotten & evern a couple Id never heard of.

Now I m at the stage where I have finished Works,, & have moved files into thier place back in proper map files at the CSO, & in some cases uploading maps from my own personal collection that werent there. (OR anywhere I could find! This includes obscure maps from sites that have come & go over the past 6 years or so.) I now have to drudge through all the download link pages & make sure the maps I sent up are linked properly. I even had SL send me a disk full of his maps, many not available at any dl site I have found...

Every time I see these map requests & find them at the CSO, I make a note to fix the link. But hey.. between making my own maps, (53 & counting!!) & making my mods, theres alot to do on my plate! At least a link like in this post can give someone a qucik fix!

Theres no bad blood between CCS & the CSO, two strong sites makes the community that much better. Hell, bandwidth can be split more like this as well. You'll find most core CCers got to both sites... christ, do you eat at the same restaurant every time you go out? Dont think so!! Although maybe the CSO has topless female dancers to serve you better! Wink Mooxe.. can you take your shirt off for us?? Oh wait.. Id have to do the same.. scratch the dancing topless females...
