Hi.
I made a map. Very simple one. Then I created all necessary files (MMM and others). What should I do with this map to be visible for game (basic CC5) and CCRegedit?
I tried to change Index file, but then whole game stopped working.
TIA

Hi,

In addition to what AT_Stralky said:

1) Make your map in .tga and save it in 16 bits.
2) If you want to introduce it in your CC stock game, you will have to create a .btd file using a program called BTDEdit that you can find on your favorites CC sites (and your favorite is CCS,no?) AND modify the index.mpi file. This one can be modified with a program like Hackman (the one I used for all my Kessel mod: very simple, efficient, user friendly.... the paradise!).
When it will be done, you just have to play.
3) Be careful when you code your map with 3C. If it is a sumer map,, code it with CC5.ini. If it is a winter map, use the CC3.ini which is much detailmed and uses winter terrain. Personally, I used a modified CC3.ini file (so a modified CC3 Elements file...) but you will se in november that it was worth...

Call me back if you need help. CC is looking for new artists like you!

Cheers
