#1: Int. vs Ext. IP Author: Pzt_Mac, Location: OregonPosted: Tue Nov 28, 2006 8:43 pm I'm travelling and staying at a hotel with wireless. I tried to launch CC5 through GS as well as UDP and TCP, but no luck: Black screen only.
I get this msg at GS:
Does anyone have a solution or idea?
(*note, I do not have access to the router. I have disable my firewall).

#3: Author: mooxe, Posted: Tue Nov 28, 2006 11:00 pm You really dont have to block your IP from us seeing.
If you dont have access to the router thats blocking your connections you are hoopdeelooped.

#6: Author: Cowmando, Posted: Wed Nov 29, 2006 9:52 pm I get that message when i try and host i have the right ports open, but it still won't let me play through game spy. Have to meet people on game spy and connect via TCP/IP atm. would love to be able to make it so i could play straight through game spy.

have the same problem in gamespy. I have to unplug my router everytime in order to be able to host or join a game. Game wont start with router in place.
Dsl modem alone works fine.
#8: Author: mooxe, Posted: Thu Nov 30, 2006 3:16 am Guys if you cant work through your router, call the manufacturer's 1-800 number for tech support. Its to hard to help people with routers in the forums anymore because of too many brands, too many configurations and double-routers.

You are dead and stinky. been doing it for years, tried everything. In one hotel I was able to get the IT guy to set the router with static IP and was always able to play after that in that hotel. Asked may times since and always same answer "we can do that". );
