Hello platoon_michael!
(And other CC4 Fans)

I answered your PM about map coding over at Close Combat Org.
did you get it?

============================================
"Add the new one to that list and it's a grand
total of 23 maps."

"Simply amazing."

==========================================
Actually, the total is 25 maps........

==========================================

Tell you what Ernie.......

If no one does it first I for one would be more than willing to
make a new strategic map for all your maps when you hit 43.
Should you be interested in seeing something like that done?

I'll even toss in Pvt.Grunts 2 maps if he allows it,and if they fit
in the scheme, bringing the total to 41.

If you can make it that far

=========================================
Yea, that sounds good, if as you say, I ever make it to 43.
and if anyone will ever play them after the NEW CCIV comes out.

Smile

... that's for sure!! Specially with your superb maps. As a relative newbie (or returning newbie) I have got to say that CCIV VetBoB along with your new maps, and Malmedy from Pvt. Grunt is the cream of the CC crop.

I guess that you've gathered that I'm editing the map names, the index file, the map filenames, the battle names and adding some of your 'historic info' to the btd files. If you have already done this, or have this on your to-do-list, then I will cease and desist. If not, it might be a good option for fans that would like to play your maps and get a more 'complete' experience of the new battles. Of course any sharing of this project of mine with the community would be completely dependant upon your approval.

By the way, what other CCIV map has Pvt. Grunt made besides Malmedy?

The only other detail of VetBoB that I would like to see changed are the unit photos. Something more akin to historic shots would be more to my liking.

Thanks again, Ernie, for all your efforts in creating maps for BoB.

Thanks for the positive feedback tripwire but your MUCH too kind, I'm not
THAT good. Compaired to some of the other map makers out there, I'm just amature!
My maps are just new and different..."Gritty" is how I would describe them.
plus, no one else is making maps specifically for CC4. So they seem fresh.

You may do what you wish with the maps I made. The only thing I ask
is that whatever changes you make and share with others, please say so.
So far, I haven't heard any complaints about my maps, so if there are
problems with other peoples modifications, I don't want to have to
answer for them. Smile

Pvt. Grunt did Lanzerath for CC4, if he did others, you will have to ask
him yourself.

You'd have to talk to the VetBOB author, (TT) about that. However, I don't
think you'll have much luck, TT has been retired from the CC community
for some time now and is not active. Sad

"Thanks again, Ernie, for all your efforts in creating maps for BoB".

Your welcome....ENJOY!
