The complete mod Close Combat V La Batalla del Ebro is ready to download on www.clannomada.com and www.firefoxccmods.com . The history of the mod is from one of the big battles on the Spanish Civil War. The mod has all a complete plugin and 44 new maps done as the terrain on the Ebro on 1938.

Boy this has been a long time comming.
You have been working on this mod for years it seems.
Congradulatiions on finishing it.

I remember a ways back seeing some of the maps and they were very very nice.
Any chance you can show us some images from the game?

No, it is not only for spanish and hispanic people. It's for everybody who want to play a spansish mod based on a spanish war.
Spanish is a language spoken by about 500 million people in the world, and it's easy to translate and to understand. But these are only a few reasons. We think that Ebro mod is more realistic if it uses mainly spanish language, and more atractive too. If you are english you can feel as one of those international volunteers who fought in Spanish Civil War, involved in spanish language.
I think you wont have any problems to play this mod in spanish, and is better to know spanish history and language than only be limited with english.

This mod has great potential, no doubt.

There is an issue with disappearing BG's. I've talked to a couple of people who have this happen. Any chance for a quick fix?

Gracias,
Mac

If somebody has ever seen the cover of The Osprey book ""Ebro 1938" you will see how good this mod is, the terrain of "La Terra Alta" where the ebro battle took place its represented in an exelent way!:

For updates I would change all the text to Spanish.
Especially the Scrngdg,Gamegdg files

I have seen the screenshots and will definatly download the mod.
Looks like a good one to play.

As for the bugs.............
Every mod has them, get used to it.
Play it and report it,thats the only way they get fixed.

Oh yea, this mod is great! I'm already knee deep into a GC with a friend.

But the disappearing BG's are really throwing a wrench into the game, so if there is a quick, easy fix, that would be a big help.

Everything else in the game seems to be playing wonderfully.

I think that the problem with dissapearing BG is due an inconsistence on the number of soldiers set by the modder in a given team, and the actual number of soldiers that team has.

For example, a recon team has 3 soldiers, you set them on **Teams.adb on the soldier type and soldier list columns(also have to check this two match), but if you put a number different than 3 on the 'number of soldiers' column, that is probably what causes the problem of dissapearing BG.

Regarding the Spanish language - I agree that it's great to have it in Spanish. I don't speak a speck of German or Russian but that hasn't stopped me from playing Mods with those languages involved.

when played with national troops, a BG of the legion disappearing.... and the sites nationals looks like republicans and the republicans look like national, ?¿ Confused

other bug (but i dont knowk if this bug have a solution): in campaing, in the map of Flix, the republican stars the battle in the god side of the river, so they don´t need to fight to cross the river Confused

in despite of this... A GOOD MOD!!! yeah, i expect for this mod a long time

Quote:

In spanish: (i do this because my english is bad Embarassed )

Wink Razz

Have been away from Close Combat for a significant period of time, though
when I was last here I had been attempting to create a similar mod. Naturally
it's great to see anything from the Spanish Civil War in CC5, and I'd like to
thank you wholeheartedly for your efforts.

[Now to find and re-install everything!]

Hello guys

Maybe you know what is the title of the song that have played in 'command' menu of 'La Batalla...'?
To which side it 'belongs'?
Could you tell me about what they're singing or maybe you could translate for me couple of lines from that song?
Any answer would be very much valuable

Regards,
KGPeiper

It's the Republican song "Si me quieres escribir". Apparently it has not been wikipedia'ed yet Wink
Now, for the translation... I'm not a spaniard (though I roughly understand).

I am not very good transalating from Spanish to English but i will do my best

The Moros that Franco brought in Madrid want to enter.
While remaining militiamen , the moros will not pass

If you want to write to me, you know where i am
Third Mixed Brigade, First line of fire

Even if they blow the bridges and the gateway
You will see me crossing the ebro in a sailing boat

Blow them ten thousand times, ten thousand times we will build them.
We are Hard-headed in the Engineers Corps

Italian Flags had sunk in the Ebro
And in the bridges only the republicans wave.

Interesting,
thanks you, Zaitsev.
I remember that Normski used the same song from the movie "Land and Freedom" in his CC3 Spanish Civil War mod.

No Pasarán!
