This post is separated due to this pre modern industrial war (steam power). The understanding of the regions resources was very important before industry war.
This military statistic book give an idea how the general staff worked to understand the “possible” enemies regions.
Before industry war supplies had to be requisitioned or confiscated from
local/regional storages. An army needed knowledge how much resources
was available thus calculate how long they can stay, and how large force the
aria support.
Military statistic say that in average 90% of the resources an army need was
drawn from local/regional sources, only 10% was brought in in pre industry
war.
All that changed when steam power allowed large quantities of supply’s to
be moved for long distances allowing larger army’s and more ammunition
consumption.

This is a military statistic book for Swede General staff printed in 1840. Look
at the appendix, and all pre computer.

Strategic important professions, bakers and bakery and flower mills is probably the most important to an attacking army pre industry war.

Taxes and how it’s used, note that 44% of state budget spent on military.

Horses and cattle, sheep. Statistic down to aria and number per square aria.

As u said Stjerngranat is Stjern = Star, granat = grenade or as in artilleri shell.
Its possible its "grenade" as from grenadier but Im not sure or from artillery, but may allso be an apple as Granatäpple? hm, or even granat as in gem,
as Sweden had a deposit of Granat-gems in Karelia in 16xx and then "star-gem" would make some sence, but i really really dont know, but they seem
to be military family, thus suggest...
But It's a family name since longe time back, I can fine it in 16xx a captain, (in land owner tax book register).
In1716 I believe they became nobility, so that means name can’t be taken just inherited. (1716 during grate Nordic War)
CL is the only in family who has made it through Karlberg Swedish war academy, here is his portrait and a short biography:
He started in academy in 1830th

CL was a part of the Swedish Norwegian force who would take a part in on the Danish side vs Germans, in the problems in 1848. He then became a part
of the multinational force that was to guard from German and Danish hostility 1849-50.
I can trace many in there family to be officers, army, artillery, and navy, one of em was the Regiment commander of my old Regimente, Jönköpings
regimente in mid 1850th.
I try to fined a clew in there crest, but its a bit low detail.
