Haven't played CC2 for years but because i loved it so much i thought i would reinstall it. Anyway, i now have xp and for some reason the game doesn't start. i have tried the compatability wizard and i have installed the update 2b. i have also disabled directdraw. can anyone help please?

ps which mods would you guys recommend of those that are in the downloads section of this site. total war?soundmod? 3.4 patch?
