I was going through and organizing the CC5 sub-mods on my PC just last night! I have it in non-plugin form.

I am at the office now, but can either email the stock CC5 VetMod to you or upload it here... which ever mooxe would prefer.

Does a vetmod just give you less men and material for a greater challenge?

The basic VetMod changes:
- Increase the number of men in infantry teams for the AI (mostly 10 men squads).
- Changes in SAI to make the attacking AI more aggressive (infantry coded as vehicles)...Infantry will run/rush when moving instead of 'the crawl of death'.
- Changes in the FPools (more units for AI, less for player).
- Changes in BGroups (more aggressive Commander settings).

1. So your squads don't get the number increase as well? Fair enough

2. If the AI is based on vehicles, how do they get into buildings?

Cheers for answering.

I believe some VetMods feature reduced numbers for the human controlled squads.

Vehicle coded Infantry cannot enter large buildings (only small buildings), so it works best for non urban battles.

Hi,

Had to work "overtime" yesterday evening. Too tired to even logon when I got home last night. Will email CC5 VetMod to you this evening.

Will also contact mooxe about having him upload it to the Downloads section.

Have a good one!

Fall in!

I am presently uploading the 10MB file of CC5 VetMod v2 to the CCS ftp site. I had not realized that the ftp site was available to us for uploads... the info is at the very bottom of the Home page screen. My understanding is that you can download from there, but that the listing of the file in the Downloads area is done after screening by the admins.

So.... if you'd like the file now, the zip file is on the ftp site (soon) in a folder named CC5_VetMod_v2

Oh, it is the original plugin version, by the way.

That is all. Smile

I am also trying to find mod for CCV vehicle graphics. there used to be a very good one - this worked with original CCV game - downloaded it around 5 years ago.-I am just coming back to close combat series after trying many new WW@2 games that do not come close to involved campaigns of CC . However cannot locate old vehicle graphic mod anywhere now. Can anyone help ?

AFAIK the CC5Uniforms Mod also contains those improved vehicle graphics you're talking about.
If you're playing the original CC5...the CC5uniforms Mod is a must!

Sorry about that...the uniformsmod only changes the exe.
I believe the vehicles are inside the CC5Vetmodv2 that you asked for in this thread.
Also a different (IMHO better) set of sounds.

I have the CC5vetmod in my huge d/l collection, but you can download the one tripwire recently uploaded at the CCS FTP Server...it's at the CC5_VetMod_v2 folder.

Address: ftp.closecombatseries.net
Username: uploads
Password: uploads

You need to install an FTP program to access the FTP server.

It is convienient... but not necessary to have an ftp program to download from ftp sites.

You can use your Internet Explorer (or other browser).

Just enter the ftp site address into the Address bar at the top of the browser using copy and paste. This address is located on the very bottom of the screen (scroll all the way down).

Address is ftp.closecombatseries.net

IMPORTANT! You cannot just click on a "link" like the one above! That will be "interpreted" by the browser as an http web site. That won't work. You MUST enter the address in the Address bar.

When you ENTER this address you will be placed at the ftp site with a dialog box to enter Username and Password. Use the ones, again, from the very bottom of the page:

Username is uploads
Password is uploads

You will be placed in the top directory (folder) on the ftp site. Here you will see the folder that I created called CC5_VetMod_v2. Double-click on that to get to the file called CC5_VetModv2.zip. Finally, right-click on the filename and use the "Copy to folder..." option to copy it to a folder on your hard drive.

I just want to say, what a fantastic mod this is! A real challenge for once. Smile

I found that I've only got a few tanks on veteran mode, so when one get's swamped by 20 charging german paratroopers, the air turns blue.
