#1: Problem with CC5.ICD Author: Scupper, Location: New ZealandPosted: Sun Jan 30, 2005 9:19 am — I recently reinstalled my system (XP Pro) and then CC5, which worked fine following the clean installation. After installing SP2 I got this message:
'CC5.ICD has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
Rather inconvenient indeed: the game won't start at all. I reinstalled it but no good. I uninstalled CC5, then uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled the game but I still get the same thing.
I tried deleting (exporting) the 'uninstall' entry in the registry (mentioned in a previous post here) but that didn't help.
Any ideas? I'll probably have to reinstall the system again and avoid SP2.
