I to you all,

First, I would like to welcome you on the SDK:DK forum! Initially, SDKDK was not expected to be a new mod, but rather a SDK v2.0 submod. Time passed, and while working on SDK2.0, I was at the same time building SDKDK... One month ago or so, after having painted the new SDKDK mainscreen, I went to the conclusion that SDKDK will be a new mod.

Not totally new, indeed. SDKDK will require a full installed version of SDK v2.0, mainly for technical reasons. And just for this reason, will remain a "submod"

SDK 2.0 and SDKDK will both be upgraded in terms of gameplay, graphics quality, sounds quality etc.... to SOC 1.0 and SOC 1.1 (which will likely be released AFTER SDK!). A 3D stratmap, new sounds, new units, new icons, etc.... Don't believe that SDKDK will be just an old/new.

SDKDK will feature the desperate fights of some Kampfgruppen in the Don/Tschir area between november 19th and early december 1942. It is, basically, a COUNTERMOD of SDK.

Will be available for the Axis:

- The following, very well-known KG's:

- Simons
- Sauerbruch
- Mikosch
- Sauvant
- Lepper

- Two units of Gruppe Hollidt:

- The romanian "Care de Lupta 1."
- Part of the 204 Panzer Regiment

- The very well known romanian Grupa Lascar

- One romanian regiment in Serafimovitsch
- Two units of the austrian 44. Infanterie division.

For the Soviets, two new units, plus most of the tank brigades already taking part of the Uranus Op.

SDKDK is as well:

-A new stratmap, thus:
- 3 totally new new maps: Perelasowskij, Beresovaïa, Kremenskaïa
- Improved SDK maps
- A totallynew, 3D-like Stratmap
- Tons of new Uniticons
etc...

Guys, if you are interested in becoming beta testers of SDK 2.0 or/and SDKDK, just send me a PM.

Cheers
PJ

Great news, PJ!
Keep up the great work...and I'm very looking forward to freezing in the snow playing the mod! Smile
I'd love to beta test, but I'm afraid I won't be able to spend too much time with it to do it justice, my friend...

Oh yes... I'm getting anxious for this one!

Wonderful work, pzjager. I anticipate very authentic and exciting smaller action battles. Plus, new graphics quality, sound quality and new gameplay. YES!

What has me "hooked" is your description of a Counter-mod of SDK. Maneuvering the Kampfgruppen that you will include around the Don area will be fantastic.

Oh... and PLEASE Mr. Administrator, make a download area listing that really gives due to this one. Thanks!

A lot of things. But....Chuuut

SDKDK will be a "small" (24 maps is not small anyway) mod for players who like heavy Tank vs. Md Tank and AT tanks units in snow.. BoB 2 years before

Cheers
