Hi.
My Hard-disk is failing, and i better post these fiiles before it totally goes.

This is an in process mod of red storm rising 1.0.
some changes are:
M16 is now single shot.
Sniper rifles are very effective.
Snipers are usually in teams.
M1 Abrams has slightly better armor now.
More Soviet soldiers wear no helmets, but weigh less.
Rehashed sounds a little bit
added smoke dischargers to vehicles.
command teams altered.
Javelin AT missile is more deadly now, but has a minimum range taken from real specs, so it won't function from up close (65m i think)

Here is what was not done yet.
All NATO allies not modded (except USA)
I want to put body armor on some troops (assault and USA combat arms)
I tried to change the smoke to yellow, did not happen.
I tried to make crews controllable, also didn't happen.
no milan missile on that german halftrack.

Directions:Install RSR1.0, unzip and place in your data folder.
Let me know what you think gentlemen.
David

Many thanks for the warm welcome of the mod.I am interested in your feedback when you play it as well. PM or posts here welcome.
If you try making a new scenario you'll get new #'s and types of units available in a battlegroup. Razz

Hey Gentlemen,
I just got back from field exercises and am wondering if any of you were able to play RSR with my changes.

Here are the steps to try it out.
Install RSR1.0 Plugin.(there is a help file on this site for this)
Contents of the zip found here into the data folder.
Play game.
If you create a new scenario, you will get new unit distribution. I am trying a new approach there - a lot here, little there, like in real life.

No Mooxe, I was not one of the original creators.

Anything new on this? I haven't tried it yet as I want to gain some time with 1.0 first.

I made a pln for the rsr1.0 video zip I downloaded from this site.

Any reason that there is not a RSR section in the Mods category of forums?

Nothing posted at CSO RSR forum for quite a while. Did the mod makers move on?

The original modders have not been around in quite some time at any site. Why is there not a RSR forum here... I don't think we need one... but if theres a different opinion out there let it be known!

Probably don't need a separate forum for RSR or some of the others either. If work was continuing or the modders were taking requests, squashing bugs, etc, then maybe yes.

Thanks for the reply.

Near the end of the 30 May news on the home page:

" Also coming soon possibly for CC5 is a new version of Red Storm Rising and Battle of Berlin (beta)."

On one hand I would think that CCMT with cold war mods would negate CC5 RSR but on the other hand CC5 has operations and campagns.
