Close Combat Series -> Close Combat Modern Tactics

I recently got Close Combat Modern Tactics, and am quite impressed with it. The quality of Close combat with beautiful maps and great action. But, it's too micromanaged for my taste with having to deal with what units I want out of a huge list of availible units. I yearn for the days of just clicking and going into battle to face the nazi hordes.

The Missing Campaign feature is an absolute slap in the face to my favourite part of the game, blowing the shit out of a town repeatively untill there is nothing but rubble everywhere. I would love to hear from people their thoughts on how to include a campaign in the game, Is there a third party solution? Is there anyway to get this game back into the classic Close Combat fun?

Isn't the problem that there is no facility for saving a game? That in turn means that there is nothing for an MMCC III-type campaign manager to chew on.

I know.

We either need an expanded CC IV/V stratmap; or a multiple-battlegroup version of MMCC III with tactical deployment corresponding to direction-of-approach.

Can FDeploy be used immediately before a tactical game is brought about by MMCC III?

MMCCIII battles take into account direction

You get to attack/defend from all different angles not just left / right.

This is certainly true

but when I tried it, an attack from the north east on the strat map opened as an attack from the north west at the tactical level.
