Has anyone got a BASIC tank pentration table? For reference, and to settle arguments

I know it's one of the most argued subjects with fellow WW2 geeks.....I've seen a thread 12 pages long before, that ended up with kinetic energy tables, algerbra, and what looked like crazy-person writing.

Anyone got any links? I just want to know, say, if a Panther tank fires at a JS tank at a 1000m, would it penertrate or not?

Yes and no ! It could and it could not depending on all kinds of variables people will end up argueing about for pages to come! Not to hijack this thread, but personally I'd like to know which is better m16 or ak47 ...discuss Smile

Closest I've seen to this was in a game, namely Yacquinto's Panzer/ 88/ Armour trilogy.

I'm sure someone else would be able to do better than that though.
