The Russians have launched Operation Bobblski Revenge, lead by figure head political appointee Lebedev of the Marines (hero of Stalingrad campaign).

Massive initial Russian casualties on some opening maps, but high command are confident.

German arty, wruframen and Forward Observers have caused carnage!

we are getting the odd hang on launching a game where the non host gets stuck on "receiving game data"

Any ideas? Not all the time but every so often.

Possibly a bad connection, I would say that the connection between your and your opponent just quits. This is not really a common error, I dont remember seeing it at all before.

latest weird bug (the above one was definitely connection related)

My brothers units have started selecting multiple units when he clicks on one, and mirroring commands as if a lasso group order was given. IE he selects one infantry unit, and a tank and a gun are also selected, without him realising. This has not affected my end...

Also some units are moving spontaneously from the start.

Is this a known bug or just a one off "reboot" cure? Or could this be due to some local connection lag or something?

You would think local unit selection couldn't be affected by lag as its on the local PC, but who knows....

now the game is just crashing randomly when truce is called or morale stops battle.

Until now we had been playing with a 10 seconds from end truce to avoid the 0 second bug.

I cant believe how annoying this is... my bro has moved to win 95 compatability instead of win 98 to see if this helps..he is running XP and I have win 2000

Hi,

Just sad about it. As SDK creator, I could have been of help. Rejected from this site (No more rejected to a porn site today when wanting to connect, Mooxe? are you calming?), I can't help you anymore. What I can tell you is that SDK is working 100% well.......that SOC is 1000000000000000000% better and that SDKDK (the blend of the two will be sson released.

Cheers,

Long life to CC

Just happy.

Anyway, you are now playing on one of my OLD-FASHIONED mods, friend. SOC is 1000% superior and SDKDK as well.

Both SDK and SOC are on CCS site as piracy.

Send me an Email on pzjager [at] hotmail [dot] fr

You will at least play with SDK v2.0....

Cheers

Help Request:

I am playing the Russians and attacking. In the future, once I push off iniital maps, how do I know where & when new units will arrive backing up spearhead units?

I dont want to push forward just leaving a gap behind me and no supply lines defended.....

So if I advance will new units appear?

Hi,

The best is to go to the scenario editor screen and check how the Grand Campaign is made...

Cheers

OK great thanks.

The campaign ploughs ahead. we are racking up massive casualties on some maps, and I'm sure our battle groups will be crippled much too quickly at this rate!

The imperative to push on into withering fire is a direct order from Stalin though, so I just have to get on with it!

wow day 1 (the 19th) finishes.... great fun, and still so many units to come into the fight!

Nazi Wurfs and the Luftwaffe causing havoc, but otherwise Soviet High command content with initial progress......

Day 2 of H2H GC finished.

Soviet armour rampant in west, but Luftwaffe performing prodigies.

3rd Army all but desotryed after holding out for almost 2 whole days in some places. Germans trying to withdraw forces to Inner Don Ring but bloody Soviet reserves came in inside 22Pz Div meaning scramble for supply has overtaken creating new defensive ring. 22Pz and Romanian 1st Armoured now having difficulty fighting with any cohesion, being starved of fuel. Soviets have beaten off desperate Romanian attack at Kalatch but will be attacked by other Axis units soon.

On north front German units fighting grimly and by end of Day 2 (20th) they still have finger tip control of Vertiachy and Kotluban. Soviets have cleared most of the other northern sectors with their tanks. 4th Guards in bitter battle with 376th Infantry, but Soviet advance slowed, after initial rapidity, by stiff German defence. 4th Guards now too scared to move and are being picked off by Wehrmacht Mg teams.

German high command evacuated all panzer units from Stalingrad on 19th to keep them as mobile reserve and 24, 22 and 14Pz all largely untouched. Only one Soviet attack on Gumrak so far, beaten off with heavy loss. Soviets too frightened to push home assault and are waiting for armour.

295 Infantry holding onto only Stalingrad sector still occupied by German forces, but can do little to prevent Gumrak from being assaulted. Luckily the 244 Sturm Abteiling is dug in and will be tough to eject.

In south disaster befell 29 Motorised, losing two Wurfrahmen in opening round of battle. Commander has committed suicide in response. Romanians have only so much time against Russian cavalry brigade and the bloody Italians, who fought well, want to fight on with only two squads remaining! Forza Il Duce!

Day 3, the 21st, about to commence. Nazi counter attack in waiting....

Unbelievably good fun. I particularly like the way the GC evokes the sheer desperation of 6th Army's position. We have crises everywhere I look!

Entering Day 22.

Russian plans going very well. Bitter fighting in some sectors, notably Krasnaia Plochad.

Armoured fist has shattered most Nazi allied formations.
Now the noose tightens!

Attached below is the latest issue of Pravda, detailing operations and awards for Red Army heroism!
