Reading through this thread, it is very probable that the problem is also linked to the heating up of the videocard. I have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo. No idea how to measure/look up its running temperature, and no idea how to turn off anti-aliasing and stuff... In the meantime, I had to revert to a basic solution: four Duplo-blocks from my son's toy box are now supporting my laptop and providing some fresh air to the ventilator... and it seems to help! Hope a patch will address this issue soon, Roel |
