It's call Wacht am Rhein

You just have to use it

Well, there is non there Schrecken... And i also have BHQ for CCMT and COI... Basicly non ever in any rooms.
Cant that be adverticed or easy clicked from mutiplayer screen?

I had no real interest in online action that's why I haven't checked but this is interesting. Where do I find any info how to use BHQ with CC WaR ?
I found some information regarding CC CoI but the support folder only contains only some pdf. And I checked the PDF files but could not find anything useful regarding BHQ.
Schrecken, any info on this ?

OK I found the BHQ client here and registered as a user http://www.wargamer.com/battlehq/signup.asp.
Started the client and selected a lobby fine. BUT do I really have to set the launch parameters every time ? I'm coming from GPL (Grand Prix Legends) which is a 10 years old game too but the community driven multiplayer client is way more user friendly.
I would suspect that if I choose a multiplayer client for a given CC game it would connect a central server which maintains a list of started hosts so that I can see which hosts are already running. Then the client would in case of WaR scan for mod directories and compare this list with the already running hosts to determine which ones are avaialable (green) and which I can't join because I don't have the mod installed.
Then when the client has started I would have a chat aera which like in GPL would just use a standard IRC hoster. GPL uses ShadowWorld which makes you able to chat even without the client software installed.
Joining a host would then have to start the exe and give it the appropriate connecting setting as well as the mod string.

This would be not easy but not that hard to program. I have attached a picture how the online client looks like. Chat rooms can be created easily and seperated with a password like in most IRC clients.

If you use the rooms someone will be there.

If you don't use them they will be empty.

The rooms are provided free for you to use , chat and play.

It is entirely up to the community whether they are a success.

Judge yourselves.

Thats the problem. Non there, so non stay...

Im asking for suggestion how it can be made better, as in more ppl finding there way to BHQ? And thus all benefit from it.

Im suggesting maybe a banner "to click on at Matrix WaR forum or whatever" to take ppl to this BHQ room?
Or other suggestion to make the BHQ room more spread, and a natural place to fined ppl to play...
Suggestions -> make it more used

Schrecken, I don't want to whine but at the moment CC WaR can easily host a big numbers of mods due to the ease of adding mods. What I see is that BHQ Client config to launch a game specific mod must be changed as well as I can not see active games.

Is it possible to launch CCE.exe with parameters which tells that I'm a server or want to join ?

To configure

You just tick the boxes of the games you have installed

BHQ will remember this next time you return.

All the games you have installed are listed in the top left pane.

In BHQ if you want to host you create a room

Everyone can see you are ready to host in the top right pane.

You can even set up a "Buddy" list so that you know friends are on-line even if in a different CC room, bottom right pane.

You would need a dedicated server set up by a benevolent host to gather and diseminate this information... at the moment I don't know of one.

Also note

The game can be launched from a BHQ room simply by pressing the "launch" key when two people are in the room.

This will start WaR on both machines.

Simply navigate to the multiplayer screen.

The host chooses "Host a Game" and selects a battle.

The client opens the Hosts IP address box and enters the IP or can just press ctrl-V to enter the hosts IP.

When the game appears click join.

A question,
Would it be possible to get a link to a how to play multiplayer in BHQ, type a PDF instruct file (looking as cool as the manual)? Or maybe to a dedicated web page??
Or maybe linked from inside the multiplayer screen, or from here some ware?? (see image):
I don’t know? What you think?
