First reports from the front of a Russian counter offensive to relieve Stalingrad....

All 4 rounds of Day 1 (the 19th) are now complete, with bloody carnage all round. Huge Soviet infantry casualties as initial assault waves die for the motherland. However their deaths have brought major territorial gains generally.

Day 2 has now commenced with Russian forces pushing on strongly.....
