This is a warning to lamers. I am starting a list of shame.

I love GC ladders and play a lot with a lot of great people.

However, I probably have upwards of 30-40% of people I play go AWOL when things go against them to avoid posting a loss.

Sometimes they simply outright refuse - this fine example happened today and pissed me off enough to feel the list of shame was a good idea:

"i never see more ladder´s players, its no more important, need go, speak later"

I know I could just let it go but I'm just not someone who likes to let them get away with it. However I'm not 100% decided so let me know if you agree/disagree...

it´s shit when ladder games are not reportet, but it´s still just a game...

Most ladders have always had a dispute system. It only works when the people care about ratings and visit normally.... like having an interest in the site. If there was some way I could incorperate ladder ratings into user profiles here it would be nice.

Thanks for your replies guys. If there was a ladder on CCS I'm sure it would be popular for a lot of reasons.

Would be great to see single battles, OPs and GCs on separate ladders or weighted according to the commitment involved in each. If ladder top 10 or more were posted in one of your side windows that would be a great feature and create some more enthusiasm around the game.

To compete is fun. Respectfully that is my reply to 'it's just a game'. As you said it sux when a weak lamer refuses to post. But that doesn't make a list of shame right so my question again: is a list of shame

#1) a stupid thing to do?
#2) a valid and just way hold lamers to account?

As an asside: I play the wwwar.ccjunkies.com ladder because it's the only GC/OP ladder I know of but the thing is all but deserted. Most players don't even know it exists. It has an basic automated reporting and ranking system were loser must post loss and only dispute would likely involve a forum post anyhow, again naming the lamer(s).

I've suggested a solution which would avoid some of the problems:

Are you King wang? We have played since I fixed my PC but the ping was horrible. I'm sure you remember? Anyhow you don't need to worry, nor do any of my other existing opponents. If I decide to take this road I'll contact people first.
