With Tim moving on to mod other games, the CSO is now hosting the files that the Dugout has hosted for the last few years for the Great War mod CC2 & 3.

The Close Combat Dugout, which will be hosted the same place the Dugout forum for the Great War has been hosted for over 3 years as well. So the two are beign finally brought together.

Tim himself gave the thumbs up, & will now addict other gamers to the Great War.

I found a few maps that I had as well for the Great War mod that were buried in my files I hadnt released yet They can be found in a a new CC Dugout Dl section with more than 70 current links at the CSO dls. The CC2 links going online tomorrow night to finish the job.

Good luck to Tim in his modding & for those of you who have never played the Great War mod, its truely one of the most unique CC gaming experiences out there!

See feature article at the CSO for more...

Sbuf,

Thx for info.
If I understand correct, the original dugout will still exist but will be dedicated to other games as well and not only CC, right?

For the dugout "close combat" , this one is dedicated to CC.

BTW can we expect a WW1 mod for cc5 Question Wink

Why not just mirror the website?

He is moving on to mod other work. In the event other things happen for the GWM for CC, hed like it maintianed ASAP... so I can take that duty. I know there hasnt been much GWM fior CC for a long time.. but its not over yet man!

Why not mirror the site? Tims not 100% sure if it will stay up even, theres a possible space issue for him as well. Although the Dls dont get the hits they used to, we can ease the room on his site. Since the CSO like the CCS gets so much exposer, its best to have the files grouped in a format its now done at the CC Dugout in a high volume area. Sulla doesnt mind directly hosting it at the CSO either. (Obviously since Im doing it) Makes it far easir to maintain a more accurate atabase fo whats out there too. i guess different webmasters do it fdifferently for different reasons.. again.. i likehaving it all under as few rooves as possible.

Incidentally all the CC2 links for it are now active.
