when i try to play WaR i get the message "unknown sound error" ive changed my compatibility to windows 98 still not working, i have it installed on vista. but when i go to options and turn sounds off it works but id like to play whit sound's anyone that knows what i gotta do to get it running?

At what point do you get the message?

At game launch?

During Battle

Main screen?

no problem getting to the game menu but when i click play a game it crashes, if i disable sounds in option i can play a game but then when im in game and try to put sounds on in options it crashes

Other CC games play without problems?

What OS are you using?

CC5 work good even whit mods but cant get SAS 3.5 to work though

It dsounds like a codec or driver problem

Have you updated your sound card drivers?

i get sound now but only when i play vetbob 1.01 and 1,03b

but when im trying to play h2h, the loading before battle freezes on initalizing AI, me and 7A_bjorn have tried several hours to get it work and only managed to get one battle but it was so laggy we couldnt play we even tried using hamachi still no succes. any ideas on this?

On your connection issues or on the sound files?

Does 7A_bjorn have a problem with sound?

Have you set your ports for WaR

Have you allowed cce.exe through your firewall(s) both on your pc and on your router.

Can you try and re-install the stock game with patches.

You may have a corrupt sound file.
