#8: Author: Antifa, Posted: Tue Mar 15, 2005 8:46 pm Great JOb on the mod!!! -- Lots of neat features. I like the fact that the gun and vehicle crews still obey commands after their gun or vehicle is destroyed. I love the detail on all of the graphics (espeically the little turbans on the Indian infantry.) THe style and design of the mod are unique and appealling.
It's the first CC 5 Mod for africa and the first CC mod ever with Italin voice cues.
Another great feature is the visibility of supply lines on the strat map. You can clearly see the supply lines in different colors and you see when the are cut -- that's a feature I would love to see in every mod.
Nice job -- there truly a number of innovative firsts in CC in El Alamein and I am sure this mod will be a great influence on Mods to come.
#9: Thanks Author: andima, Location: ItalyPosted: Wed Mar 16, 2005 11:33 am Thanks Antifa,
your compliments to my job are very welcome.
In effect I am the first modder that has italian voices.
Regarding vehicles and gun crew, there is an option in data/base,
please read the "readme" file. This option is just a .bat file you must
run when play against AI or another people (in this last case there are
two other options depending from the side (Allied or Axis).
Another new in the mod are the flags in the map: as you can see, they
are not painted, but are elements. I think nobody did this before myself,
I hope the players like it.
bye Andima

#11: Author: Luft_Hauffman, Posted: Thu Mar 17, 2005 11:27 pm Congratulations and thank you for this mod!
#12: Author: Antifa, Posted: Fri Mar 18, 2005 5:04 pm Yes I noticed that the flags are elements -- anyway of encoding them as flammable -- so that the opposing team can burn them when they capture the flag! Great Job!
#13: Author: Mr_Nuke, Posted: Fri Mar 18, 2005 7:30 pm Thanks you too!
I really like playing CC5 differently than on the regular game or Normandy maps.
#14: Author: nikits72, Location: Athens/GreecePosted: Fri Mar 18, 2005 10:37 pm Great mod.
It is a really nice change from the usual cc5 theatre.
I like very much the variety of the units (nationalities) and as a subsequence the variety of vechicles and guns.
Great piece of work!
The only (minor) flaw is that the italian voices are not heared well.
Also another flaw is that one of my friends chris is constantly annoying me to continue the Alamein campaign we have started
Thx...
#15: Author: Ixe, Posted: Sat May 07, 2005 9:12 am This is really a great mod!!!!
Now I have a few questions, but please understand that the mod is good enough on itself.
- Is it possible to configure the game in a way that captured equipment gets available to players in their next battle? I like to play some campaigns were I have minimum equipment against a strong ai or player and then every time you see you capture a tank for example you wish you could use it in the next battle. The German/Italian force used masses of captured equipment througout the war especially in africa and russia.
-I like the destructivity of the air strikes.
- This Italian General "Gen B. Brunetti", was there really a gen with this name?
- should these minefields really be that invissible, I know I can scan them with right mouse button but this takes forever in planning.
