coming from cc3, one thing which rages me about cc5 is that the battles have even number of troops on the map. how am i supposed to attack a good player without some kind of numerical superiority? especially when the german units are often better. It just ruins the experience for me. i know the allied units get to reinforce their battlegroup, but i still think its stupid and unrealistic that you basically have to throw even numbers of troops into the battle and wear them down, then reinforce. are there any mods that change this a bit?

Well, it's one of the main reasons I prefer playing CCMT - I usually create engagements when the attacker has a numerical superiority.

As for CCV...
IIRC there's an option of editing the opponent's force before mission.

This has been addressed in The Longest Day... weaker battlegroups are only able to field reduced numbers of teams, 10 - 12 in some instances.

But saying that , just because both sides deploy 15 teams does not mean they are fielding an equal number of soldiers or a battlegroup of equal strength.

i am playing the longest day, a friend and i just bought it. i noticed some battlegroups have a restricted amount of troops to deploy. i still much prefer the cc3 point system tho Sad

You will have noticed that there are now points displayed on the BG screen.

You can limit points available H2H with a gentlemens agreement.

hmm that could be a good idea. what amount of points would u recommend? or maybe i should just limit the amount of squads germans can deploy in any one battle?
