Comrades, I am trying to find out what the normal duty of different officers and NCO's serve within a Russian/Soviet Battalion since 1943.

e.g. what rank commands a squad, section, platoon, company and what do the other officers and other ranks do?

See  http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=7534

I would much appreciate it if you could help.   Very Happy

How time flies. I never did find out how rank was associated with the roles in a Russian Battalion.

In 1941 TOE:

Squad: Serzhant (seargant)
Platoon: Leitenant (lieutenant)
Company: Kapitan (captain)
Batallion: Podpolkonvik (lt-colonel).

Thanks Dima. I am looking for post 1943, maybe they are the same. What about:

1. Efreitor
2. Junior Sergeant
3. Senior Sergeant
4. Starshina / Master-Sergeant
