The complete quote is so much better...

We’ve been looking for the enemy for several days now. We’ve finally found them. We are surrounded. That simplifies the problem of getting to these people and killing them.”

What's the point?

If you want CCM v6. gather, simply gather a lot of people and lobby on Matrix forums for CCMT II.

Hello All;                                         04NOV2009     2016HRS
Motion Picture + TV Liason for the Marine Corps had no idea about the status of the CCM rights.
He did say the Corps was working on three games for public distrubution, but could say no more.
Sorry People we will have to wait.

Destineer:
talked to another individual at Destineer who was also, i feel listening, but of coarse was not in a position to change anything.
the GM is whom i am trying to get an audience with, as of yet nothing. Will try again tomarrow.

KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN AND YOUR POWDER DRY!

Hello All;

Talked to the GM at Destineer today. He told me the Marine Corps holds the copy rights.

called the Movie Liason back at the Corps. the person i talked to had more info than the person from
the other day. I have an email address to get in contact with someone in the trademarks office thankfully
that office is on this side of the country. will email tonight and see what happens

Hello All;
we must be on the radar.
i was called back by an E-6 from Calf.
see light at the end of the tunnel, still dont know if it is a train or day light.

He wanted to know why i wanted a copy of the game, i explained to him
that there are a lot of people in the gameing community that would love
a copy of the game. i told him that a lot of people really mis the game.
he told me he had talked to the training facility and they in fact told him
the game was for Marine Corps use only. He went to bat for us and wanted the
chain of command point of contact and the training facility personel could not
provide a name. He further told me he would be back in touch with me. i believe
he is trying to find an official point of contact in the chain of cammand that can give
a go or no go officially.
  He may have thought i was talking about the game in general so i will call him
back after this and assure him i am only referring to 3.1 and not the more recent
versions.
  so keep those fingers crossed and dont hesitate to get in touch with me if you
have any intel that might help.

Why would you want 3.1?

Its free, and one more piece to a complete collection.

Free would be the reason, as 3.1 is several steps down the evolutionary ladder from CCMT

I recieved a copy no problem. I just ordered the Gazette and it came in the mail a few days later, back in 2004 or something though. They say its only for Marines on the site, however they sent it to me in Canada and I did not identify myself as a Marine. The problem now is, theres no more copies left, they'd have to give up one of thier originals or burn a copy, and no system in place other than someone doing you a favour to send it.

Its torrent'ed out there on a few sites dude, and I am sure if you ask people via PM they'd post you a copy. But before you do that, I'd love to see "the man" send you a copy first.

Coincidentally, the most read home page acticle posted on CCS with 11,000+ views is Heres how to get Close Combat Marines.

Hello All;

I am a novice to the CC community. i was under the impression that CC Marine was the spear head of the CC series.

As far as the desire to have the game, i can only guess for me it would be a feeling of being connected to the Military as i have never served. i know that even sounds weird to me but
that is the truth. I think it is also the nostalgia that attracts me to the game. anyway enough
of my weirdness.

i have also been to on other gameing community sites and there are more people than i thought
wishing this game was obtainable easily and i guess legally or why would so much be written about the game.

the light at the end of the tunnel is closer than i am ready for. i have gained an audience with an officer and to be quit frank i am just a dumb old electrician who barely knows anything about the english language eventhough i have used it all my life.
i have to state my case to him. of coarse the main obj. is to get the game back into the hands of the public, and the only way that is going to happen is with 3.1. because it was the only in the public sector for any length of time.

so you guys keep your fingers crossed, pray and we will see what happens.

george!

CCM3.1 is just a dumb buggy (earlier) version of CCMT

Buy CCMT and you have an updated CCM3.1 by a few generations.

CCMT was released to the public for just the reasons you state above... so the public can play CCM.

Hello All;
have not sent email yet, scared.
funny, dont know why i am scared. not much of a smooth talker.
feel as though if we do have a chance of getting back in the civ. sector
i will blow it some how.

if this falls through CCMT i guess is what i want.
you guys tell me, i am new to this style of gameing.

                   george!
p.s. be careful if you use windows xp repair feature it can be tricky!

Hello All;
Well i finally emailed the colonel. i read the email over a few times before i sent it
and the S Sgt. i have been talking to said he will check it before he sends it up the
chain.
              george!

P.S. with so many views i would hope it was more than free that draws people
to the game. but than i am pretty cheap myself.
