#3: Re: MODS Author: Stwa, Posted: Thu Dec 10, 2009 4:02 am One thing I found out (I think) about RTB.
It will not process a cutdown map. But it will process an original (40x40) CCMT map.
You would have to make sure any CCMT maps are only using RTB elements. I think there are some differences.
But I am doing the opposite. I am exporting RTB maps to CCMT.

RTB can process cutdown maps
But its tricky. Here are the rules to include a cutdown map in a mission.
First change the X Y Max values in your cutdown map txt file to 120. This will let RTB "see" your map in the Map Selection screen.
Next, be sure the map name is included in Index.mpi. Use a hex editor.
Next, edit your mission.
Then, change the X Y Max values in your cutdown map txt back to their original values.
Then, play game
What a pain, eh
#5: Re: MODS Author: papa_whisky, Posted: Thu Dec 10, 2009 11:11 am RtB is a pig to mod, I have a half finnished ww2 one. The problem is that a lot of things are hard coded in the exe file which relate to the data tables such that if you change things the programme crashes unexpectedly.
#6: Re: MODS Author: Stwa, Posted: Thu Dec 10, 2009 1:51 pm Me thinks you are correct.
Its probably the data.
So, its imperative that you have a good Mod Swap Thingy that is specific to RTB.
