D-Day 6th June 1944 Utah Beach and the Cotentin Peninsular

UTAH v1.3 mod was originally created for CC5 by Dima and his team including AT_Stalky and was originally released in 2005. This conversion to WaR includes multiple languages and uniforms as well as fixed supply rules and the ability for a BG to retreat on route.

Updated to 1.31

Only change is to campaign.txt (i didn't enable retreat in the uploaded build)

If you have already downloaded easy fix.

Open campaign.txt with notepad (C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat Wacht am Rhein\Data\Base\Campaign.txt)

edit this line

# BGs retreat on rout (0 = disband on rout, 1 = retreat on rout)
0

change to

# BGs retreat on rout (0 = disband on rout, 1 = retreat on rout)
1


and save

BG's will now retreat on rout

You might like to enhance it or use it as a base for UTAH 2.0

i can do a quick (relatively) tLD upgrade so that you are well on your way.

From the WAR web page notes on Uath for WAR; "Official 4507b version is required to play this mod" are you running v4507b platoon_michael?

The mod was released before WAR was updated to be mod compatible with TLD and thus needs to be updated be compatible with v4.50.10b or greater.

Bloody Omaha and Ground Tactics have been updated by the mod maker(s).

I fixed the FP error but I do not know how to update the Mod to use the newer .EXE

I get this graphic error when loading the game,and then a CTD


Any advice?

You getting your modding practice back in? Hopefully before too long will have another toy to practice on :-)

Never tried this WAR mod before, played it with TLD. Pretty decent.

I was hoping to be able to play in windowed mode and to have the slot blocked in order to improve the vetmod which remains enjoyable, I'm trying 1.2.

Hey Salhexe,
Are you able to play this Mod on your computer?

I can do a ModSwap version for this Mod if no one is able to get it to run.
It'll just take a LOT of time creating the install.txt

Yes, do you remember? I have the files in the patch 07 in a folder and files of other separate patch, so depending on the version of the mod I can play where needed.

This is a great mod, vetmod is very exciting but limited development due to the inability to change as the last or second last patch.

I tried creating a ModSwap version for this Mod but I still get the same graphic error as posted earlier.
I do not know what is causing it or how others were able to update other Mods when a new .exe came out.

When I play with the 07 version more than exe file, I have to replace also the file CCResourceDLL.dll.

It would appear that I may have fixed the ScrnGadg and the Fpools.txt to get the Utah Mod to play.

I do not however posses the means on how to get these 2 files into the self extracting download.
Or create a new self extracting file.
I also do not understand what is going on with the current download from the Matrix WAR website as when you install the Utah Mod it puts the Items pictured below into your UTAH folder.

If I remove these files,add the fpools.txt and the new ScrnGadg it looks to run ok.

Who here is able or willing to create a new self installer in order to play this Mod?
Also is there an issue with the update to the CCS site that I need a new means of logging into my ftp site?
For some reason I can't log in this morning to upload these 2 files

This update is pretty much true to form with the exception of the Force Pool error I changed the amount to 1 not knowing what the original Mod Makers had intended.
Updated the Campaign.txt to include the extra options such as Night Battles,Rest BG's,Provide Fatigue and Cohesion Indicators,Force Moral Graphic on the Battle Debrief Screen and updated the Overall Cohesion Graphic on the Campaign Debrief Screen.

You can copy/paste the info from the VETBoB campaign txt.
That's how I did it.
You only need the bottom portion from the VETBOB campaign txt.

Thank you I did with your files from WAR-OMAHA, I just wanted to be sure.

I did remove the night turn because the game would not start.

I'm updating the vetmod,  into one of the first battles I had this deployment of the marder.

I did never seen before in WAR / TLD.

I played a custom battle with a night turn and it was fine.I actually fixed the night battles they had in the mod.

Hi there,
I'm using the latest version of Wacht am Rhein (v4.50.15b). I installed UTAH Cotentin mod v1.31 which I got from here, when I launch the game this is the error I get.

I'm running the game on Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) and have the latest windows updates installed.
