#1: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Sun Jun 13, 2010 11:17 am My re-work of all the CC4 maps was halted by a computer crash with 5 maps to go.
Luckily I saved all the maps that I had finished before the crash, but I lost my
work in progress on the last 5 maps and more importantly all my tree shadows.
Getting a new computer in a week so hopefully by the end of July the last 5 will be done.
Stock CC4 maps and Ernies expanded maps.

It's not just the material that is lost. Usually the modder's morale is trashed and the project grinds to a halt.
#3: Re: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:23 am If anyone is still playing CC4 these days, I have finally finished my re-work of CCIV stock maps/Ernies enlarged maps.
Have added lots of trees, some minefields, ruins, re-coded some buildings and water crossings in an attempt to change the game play and reduce the chances of tanks lining up and slugging it out during the first few minutes of battles by changing the LOS on the maps. I also wanted to make it more difficult for tanks to go off road and although its still possible, you will have to maneuver around more trees and maybe a minefield or two.
Mooxe may make them available here soon or you can get them here:
backup your maps folder and unzip in its place
**This link has the correct marvie roof file**

#4: Re: Maps Update Author: schrecken, Location: Sydney, AustraliaPosted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:59 am They should also work in CC4 classic that ships with WaR and modded for tLD...with a little elements conversion.
Downloading, thanks
#5: Re: Maps Update Author: mooxe, Posted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 10:13 am Yes they will be available here.
#6: Re: Maps Update Author: Ernie_M, Posted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 11:51 am I still play the OLD cc4.
Looking foward to seeing how you improved
the OLD maps.
Thanks for the effort!
#7: Re: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 1:18 pm Good to see you Ernie! Wish I knew you were still around...I would have asked permission to use your enlarged maps.
#8: Re: Maps Update Author: Ernie_M, Posted: Wed Oct 20, 2010 12:59 pm Yea, I'm still alive Yuma.
No problem using "MY" maps. After all, they are
NOT mine to begin with...They belong to.. Atomic?
BTW...Your marvie map is missing some roofs. (Bottom of map).
Adding all those trees does make the game more challanging
but in some instances I thing you got a bit over zealous.
Looking foward to playing all of them.
#9: Re: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:15 pm Thanks about the marvie map Ernie...still had the original roof file there for some reason. Am uploading the corrected maps folder now. Download link will be working again soon.
As far as the trees go.....my thinking was to try to prevent tanks from massing at certain spots on some maps and on others I just wanted to change the original map as much as possible with the limited things I am actually able to do. I'll be the first person to say I'm not a mapmaker. JUst wanted to play something different.
#10: Re: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Thu Oct 21, 2010 2:22 am Replaced the roof file for marvie...thanks Ernie!
#11: Re: Maps Update Author: mooxe, Posted: Sun Nov 14, 2010 4:19 am Yuma I am going to add these soon.
Just a thought, it may be better to make these into a plugin as backing up your maps folder is to advanced for many. What do you think?
#12: Re: Maps Update Author: Tejszd, Location: CanadaPosted: Sun Nov 14, 2010 4:25 am Since the maps work in Classic CC4, included with WAR, the extra trees may not cause as much problem when the path finding fix finds its way into WAR including Classic CC4....
Thanks Yuma!
#13: Re: Maps Update Author: schrecken, Location: Sydney, AustraliaPosted: Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:51 am Do they need recoding for WaR/tLD/LSA?
#14: Re: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Tue Nov 16, 2010 4:42 pm Never done a plug-in before Mooxe.....I'll have to check into that process to see if I can do it.
#15: Re: Maps Update Author: mooxe, Posted: Tue Nov 16, 2010 10:54 pm Its online now.
#16: Re: Maps Update Author: yuma, Posted: Wed Nov 17, 2010 3:33 am thanks Mooxe!
