#1: Moding LSA Author: limeni, Posted: Sat Nov 20, 2010 7:40 pm Hi all!
This is my first post here. What I'm trying to do is to mod snipers in the game to make them have better accuracy and longer range just to make them more deadly. Question is how can I do that? Do I need to use some tool/software or something?
I presume that I need to edit some of this numbers but I have no idea what is what here.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
#2: Re: Moding LSA Author: Sapa, Posted: Sat Nov 20, 2010 10:34 pm The idea of the updated versions WAR, TLD and LSA is that you only need one tool, MS Excell
That is why my mod making is over because im used to at least five tools.....

There is no workbook available for LSA yet.
But
You can download the tLD workbook from here http://closecombat.matrixgames.com/LongestDay/tLDmods.html
that will give you an idea of how the weapons data file works.

#6: Re: Moding LSA Author: schrecken, Location: Sydney, AustraliaPosted: Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:05 am using the workbook as a guide you can alter all the data in the game.... you have a lifetimes joy ahead of you.

Make sure you keep backups of the files you are about to alter.
You can quite easily make your game unplayable.
#8: Re: Moding LSA Author: limeni, Posted: Sun Nov 21, 2010 3:50 pm I already made some changes, better accuracy and longer range for snipers, lower weight for BAR soldiers and few other changes, so far so good. I'm getting the hang of it.
#9: Re: Moding LSA Author: CSO_Talorgan, Posted: Sat Dec 11, 2010 10:05 pm Has anyone figured out which base file rows should not be altered because of hard coding issues?
I know that there are general instructions not to mess with grenades, artillery and flamethrowers. What I seek is: do not change rows x, y and z, with specific numbers given for each file.
... cos if it wasn't for this, you could start with a clean sheet!
