I heard that Last Stand Arnhem puts them back in.
Do they actually limit the players? I would like it if using too many good troops would make me not be able to use them later.
CC5 had so many soldiers there was never a problem with using only elites.
Also I like it when you are too poor to fill up all the unit slots.

I remember in Close Combat two you would often only have a few squads.
