So, I was linked a kind of site by one of Germany fans in discussion on another site:

It has all sorts of hot war crime actions by Poles. Murder of civilians, rapes, torture, etc.
Does anyone know about it? Is it real or some other event misrepresented by Nazi propaganda (I've read about shooting of German diversants/suspected diversant in Bromberg, but nothing more from official sources)?
It would be pretty cool if it would be true (I hate that goody goody two shoes boy scout image of Polish army and I always envied Germans having cool evil units like SS), but I find that source dubious.

The order 59 sounds particularly cool but I can't find anything about it.

Does anyone know any neutral sources on it?

Hehehe, it's not 'anti-foreigner' attitude, it's 'anti-German' attitude in the Czech republic. I was in Prague, and as Dutch sounds pretty similar to German to many, we had to sometime specifically add "we're Dutch, not German", and then everybody livened up and treated us better. Probably still some war sentiments lingering.

I see. It's kinda weird that people are still butthurt about a war from 65 years ago. One would think that economic inequalities between individuals doing the same work would be more aggravating.

Basically the whole Bromborg thing was about fighting diversants and executions of Germans suspected of diversion - 385 Germans were killed. Damn and the Order 59 would such a cool name for a comic book or a black metal band Smile

It reads a little too dramatic, it sounds like a novel not an accurate historical piece.
