Following up on the original post......
Within India the educational legacy of the Raj is till felt today.
The country has the 2nd largest English speaking population in the world. Although reviled by nationalists this is by no means a universal view.
The 'untouchables' Dalits seem to regard English as a force of liberation, so strong is this view that they have personified English as a Goddess, English Devi, and worship it.

Just a little confused here... so if your from Australia and travel to Canada, were ok with anal sex and English???
Never realised  we had that much influence in our brother Commonwealth country... (better watch out for the Kiwi's their tendencies are worse then ours....)
